Review Coming Soon!
Hey guys!
I just wanted to give a quick update! I've been super busy with prepping for NaNoWriMo that I've barely been able to sneak in reading. I WILL however, have a review on Cut by Patricia McCormick sometime this week! I just started it, the day before yesterday and I just can't put it down. I've resorted to reading it when I'm in between doing things. I will have a full detailed review up soon so just bare with me!
Thanks guys
xoxo

My Novel for NaNoWriMo 2016 | Stockholm
Hey guys!
So I just wanted to share with you guys the novel that I’ll be writing this November for NaNoWriMo! The genre is Young Adult/Thriller/Romance! I know, I know, what a genre. I also wanted to share a short Synopsis with you guys too! Let me know what you think! *I NEED WRITING BUDDIES* Add me as a writing buddy on nano guys!
Drake Perry is a seemingly normal typical teenage boy in high school that gets good grades and is carving the path to his future. But, everyone has a past and Drake’s definitely wasn’t filled with fun loving memories. Ever since he was a small boy, he had a strange fascination with hurting animals and even fantasized about hurting people. He has been dark ever since a kid. He purposely hurt his sister, family and small animals growing up. He always had a problem for wetting the bed even when he’s in high school. He ends up moving up from hurting animals to snapping on his sister, Kaylie and kills her. He quickly comes up with a plan to frame his mother and it actually works. With no emotional ties, Drake doesn’t feel the least bad for framing his mother and moves in with his grandfather that lives in the same neighborhood. He finds a nearby abandoned house to escape to drown in his dark mind and sick thoughts. He ends up staying with his senile grandfather that lives in the same town and decides to make this abandoned house a place to keep and kill his victims. He plans out and kills a few students from his high school and doesn’t even get a glance from the police. He knows this is what he was meant to do, whether or not people understand it or not. One day after school on the way to the abandoned house he see’s a dark haired girl walk the same way home to her house that is across the street from the abandoned house he walks to. Something about this dark haired girl sparks his interest and he decides she is his next prey. He stalks her and learns her every move including what classes she has, who her friends are, who her love interests are down to her routine everyday before and after school. Once he captures her, he slowly develops feelings for her as he can understand her like no one else. She opens up to him and they gain each other’s trust. They seemingly fall in love but there is one problem. With an FBI agent on his tail, will Drake let her go because he loves her, or will she become another one of his victim’s to save himself from being caught?
Writing Life Update | NaNoWriMo
Hey guys!
So sorry I've been MIA for the past couple months. I went from having so much time on my hands to barely having any! If you didn't know already, I just had my son in June! The mom life has really taken its toll on me this past couple months. I have decided that even with being busy with my son, I am going to attempt NaNoWriMo this year! This is just a quick writing life update, so in another post I will update you with some details of the book I'll be writing this November.
P.S. Feel free to add me as a writing buddy at nanowrimo.org/participants/angelica-evangelina-ortiz

Tiger Lily - Jodi Lynn Anderson Review

Publisher: Harper Collins Children's Books
Publishing Date: July 3, 2012
Summary: Before Peter Pan belonged to Wendy, he belonged to the girl with the crow feather in her hair…
Fifteen-year-old Tiger Lily doesn’t believe in love stories or happy endings. Then she meets the alluring teenage Peter Pan in the forbidden woods of Neverland and immediately falls under his spell.
Peter is unlike anyone she’s ever known. Impetuous and brave, he both scares and enthralls her. As the leader of the Lost Boys, the most fearsome of Neverland’s inhabitants, Peter is an unthinkable match for Tiger Lily. Soon, she is risking everything—her family, her future—to be with him. When she is faced with marriage to a terrible man in her own tribe, she must choose between the life she’s always known and running away to an uncertain future with Peter.
With enemies threatening to tear them apart, the lovers seem doomed. But it’s the arrival of Wendy Darling, an English girl who’s everything Tiger Lily is not, that leads Tiger Lily to discover that the most dangerous enemies can live inside even the most loyal and loving heart.
From the New York Times bestselling author of Peaches comes a magical and bewitching story of the romance between a fearless heroine and the boy who wouldn’t grow up.
My thoughts: Jodi Lynn Anderson went about this book in quite a different way. Tiger Lily is written from third person's point of view and that third person is Tinker Bell. I didn’t think I would like it at first, but I soon ended up being hooked in the first couple of chapters. Anderson pulls you in, telling the story of Peter Pan and Tiger Lily in a way not thought possible. Tinker bell, not playing much of an important role in the Disney film, plays a tremendous role in this captivating retelling. Not only do you get to feel what Tink feels, but you get to feel what Tiger Lily feels as well. Tiger Lily plays a very independent character and soon finds herself feeling things that she has never felt before for a boy she is banned from being able to see. The reader will fall in love with Peter and Tiger Lily at the same time on their journey through Neverland; not to mention the Lost Boys. You will begin to want to fight off Hook and the pirates yourself, as the threaten to tear them apart. I have to say, the arrival of English girl Wendy enraged me in ways I never thought I could be enraged by a fictional character. The ending, isn’t something I was hoping for. But it definitely did leave me with a knot in my throat. When I was finished with the book, I couldn’t do anything but sit and think about what had just happened. It will truly take your breath away. I strongly advise you to pick up a copy and go on an adventure to Neverland.
Rating:
Did I like it? YES!
Did I love it? YESSS!
Would I reread it? Most definitely.
Would I purchase it? Absolutely!
Would I recommend it? Hell Yes!

I apologize on behalf of my horrible time management skills. I will try to get a book review on Tiger Lily - Jodi Lynn Anderson up by next week. It has been a very stressful week, and I know next week will be too since I am moving into my new apartment! I will try my best to keep updated! Feel free to add me on snapchat for daily snaps!
